Where can you search for North Carolina prison inmates?

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety has a search program available on its website that visitors can use to find current inmates by selecting the Active Inmate option in the Offender Status category. The service allows individuals to search for inmates by name, offender number and demographic details.

North Carolina's service also allows visitors to track other kinds of offenders, including escapees, individuals who have absconded from supervision programs such as parole and individuals recently released from custody. Members of the North Carolina law enforcement community have access to a more comprehensive search function not available to the public.
