Justin.tv, a website that streamed live video broadcasts, rather than movies, became Twitch Interactive Inc. in 2014, and was officially closed down on Feb. 13, 2015. In June 2014, removal of video archives and video on demand took place, and by early 2015, all Justin.tv video became inactive.

The company directs all its resources to Twitch, using a similar model as Justin.tv, but Twitch focuses strictly on gaming-related content, as of 2016. Subscription members of Justin.tv received refunds or transferred membership to the new platform. Twitch offers live and video on demand entertainment from over 1.7 million broadcasters, and claims over 100 million unique watchers every month.
