Can sperm morphology be corrected?

According to North Hudson IVF, sperm morphology may be correctable if it is caused by exposure to toxic chemicals or increased testicular temperature. Sperm morphology caused by genetics is not correctable.
A sperm morphology analysis is a component of semen analysis testing for male infertility and determines the percentage of normally shaped sperm in a sample. According to Mayo Clinic, having a large percentage of misshapen sperm is common. A sample only needs to contain 4 percent correctly formed sperm to be considered normal. Many men with abnormal sperm morphology are still able to father children, but it may take longer to conceive.
