Can you still redeem Gold Bond Stamps?

The Carlson company no longer allows customers to redeem Gold Bond Stamps. The stamps do hold a small value to some collectors, and stamp owners can list their stamps on websites such as eBay.com or Etsy.com.
Curt Carlson created the Gold Bond Stamp program in 1938 as an incentive for customers to visit stores to exchange stamps for groceries and goods. The company continued the program through the next 50 years as it branched into the hospitality industry, and it became the world's biggest stamp trading company in the 1980s. Carlson eventually abandoned the stamp program and replaced it with online incentive programs for its hotels.
