Where can you find transportation for seniors?

Seniors can find transportation to and from daily activities and events through individual door-to-door services offered by their city of residence or the local senior citizen center. Aging adults may also qualify for discounted tickets on city buses with fixed routes.

Local senior centers also coordinate ride sharing services with volunteer drivers to transport seniors to medical appointments, places of employment and grocery and department stores. Some communities sponsor transportation programs through the Area Agency on Aging to make sure seniors have rides to events and health facilities. Seniors can also arrange rides through personal friends, family members or neighbors.
