Can you use venison in stuffed cabbage?

It is certainly possible to use venison in a stuffed cabbage dish. Even though venison does not taste exactly the same as beef or lamb, it can be a suitable alternative in many dishes.
A recipe for venison stuffed cabbage rolls is available on the Game and Garden blog. In addition to ground venison, the stuffed cabbage filling also includes ingredients such as cooked rice, eggs, milk, tomato paste and seasonings. The cook wraps portions of the venison mixture with blanched cabbage leaves and arranges the resulting cabbage rolls in a baking dish, then drenches them with olive oil and a homemade tomato sauce before baking them in the oven.
