Can Virgin Mobile Canada customers call and text the United States for free?

All Virgin Mobile Canada plans charge all U.S.-bound calls at 50 cents per minute as of 2015. All postpaid plans and most prepaid plans include unlimited free text messaging to the United States.

All postpaid plans also include free picture messaging to the United States as of 2015. International text messaging is included in all postpaid plans and most prepaid plans as well. Prepaid plans without U.S text messaging charge 30 cents per message. Roaming fees apply for calls and text messages made outside of Canada. Prepaid plans cannot roam outside of Canada. Providers that offer plans with calling to the United States include WIND and Mobilicity.
