People with wildlife management degrees work as wildlife biologists, wildlife conservationists, zoo keepers and ecology consultants. Half of all graduates work as wildlife biologists for state or federal governments. The U.S. Department of Labor has estimated that the field will grow by approximately 22 percent over the next ten years.

Wildlife management is focused on the preservation of animals that are facing extinction. In order to do so, they ensure that the land occupied by animals is preserved in good condition.

Wildlife management professionals also work with farmers to make sure their crops and production methods do not cause a rodent infestation.
