How do you cancel a printing task in Windows?

To cancel a print task in Windows, go to the Start screen of your computer and click on the Desktop tile. Go to the taskbar and choose the icon of your printer. Right-click your printer, and choose to see what is printing once the Devices and Printers window appears.

Once the print queue appears, right-click the mistaken task and choose Cancel to end it. Repeat the procedure to delete any other listed unwanted documents.

The printer queue, also known as the print spooler, may take a few minutes to clear itself. To speed up the process, click the View menu and choose Refresh. After the spooler is clear, turn the printer back on.
