A person may feel pain when a tumor comes in contact with a bone. This causes deep pain, and it is a common pain among many cancer patients. When a tumor presses on a nerve, a person may experience a burning feeling. Patients might also feel phantom pain in areas where a body part has been removed, such as a breast or a limb. This is because the nerve endings still relay pain signals to the brain, even though the body part has been removed.
