Capers is a furniture, home decor and gift store founded in 1985 by Lisa Myers. The store, supporting small businesses, sells locally produced and handcrafted items, donating a portion of annual proceeds to charities that focus on women and literacy.
Capers started as a carry out eatery and bulk espresso vendor. Capers has since changed its focus to meet customer demands. Now Capers offers bistro-style dining, wedding catering, assorted kitchenware, and gift items. In 2009, after opening and closing a second location in Fremont, Capers downsized and consolidated the West Seattle store into a smaller space to focus on the ever-changing needs of their customers.
