What is cardiorespiratory endurance?
By Forinfos - 28/01/2026 - 0 comments
Cardiorespiratory endurance is a measure of the body's ability to absorb and use oxygen as well as create energy to facilitate muscle movement. Endurance improves with regular exercise.
Improving cardiorespiratory endurance is the primary objective of cardio workouts. People with good endurance use most or all of their available lung capacity. They also have healthy systems for converting oxygen and glycogen to adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, which is required for muscles to contract. Good cardiovascular endurance helps protect heart health, reduce the risk of serious health issues such as Type II diabetes, improve sleep quality, reduce cholesterol levels and improve physical fitness levels.
