How do you care for a gerber daisy?

One cares for a gerber, or gerbera, daisy by planting it in full to partial sunlight and making sure it's not subject to frost. These daisies also do best in places with relatively high humidity.
Gerbera daisies also do well in soil that's moist but not soggy. They need to be fertilized every two weeks or so during the growing season. The plant should be deadheaded after the blooms fade to encourage more blooms.
Gerbera daisies, with their vibrantly colored blossoms, are also good indoor plants. They help clean the air of pollutants, such as the gases that come off of dry cleaning.
