What causes a swimming pool to be cloudy?
By Forinfos - 08/07/2025 - 0 comments
Cloudy water in the swimming pool can result from poor filtration or pH imbalance. It can also result from inadequate chlorine levels.
Poor filtration can result from inconsistent backwashing, the filter not operating long enough to clear debris, or the need for a new filter. Small adjustments such as changing the filter or the filter's running time can resolve these issues.
If the pH levels are too high, calcium can form as scales on top of the water and leave it cloudy. When there is not enough chlorine in the water, microbes and algae multiply and leave a cloudy haze in the pool water.
