At what Celsius temperature does water freeze?
By Forinfos - 18/06/2025 - 0 comments
Water freezes at zero degrees Celsius under normal conditions. The freezing point is the temperature at which a liquid becomes a solid, according to About.com. The Celsius scale is the official temperature scale for most of the world, although the United States still uses the Fahrenheit scale.
Water boils at 100 degrees on the Celsius scale. These freezing and boiling points are based upon one atmosphere of pressure and pure water. More or less pressure, or impurities in the water, changes the freezing and boiling points slightly. Zero degrees Celsius is the equivalent of 32 degrees Fahrenheit and 273.15 degrees on the Kelvin temperature scale.
