What is the Century newspaper?

"The Century" was an award-winning newspaper published by Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas, Nevada. The paper was published on a weekly basis and served as the official base newspaper from 1960 to 1980. Officers and enlisted personnel formed the paper's writing staff.

Many of the paper’s editors pursued successful careers in journalism with other publications such as "The Arizona Republic" and the "Las Vegas Review-Journal," and other media outlets, such as radio and television. The paper’s reporting won numerous awards, including several highly regarded Air Force awards for its coverage of the Nellis-based U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds.
