Some challenges of taking a licensed practical nursing course include the intensive nature of the course itself as these courses typically have a lot of material to read. LPN students take a lot of tests and the nursing educators demand a lot from their students in terms of performance.

The LPN course requires students to read and study hard. Students need to go over a lot of information, and the reference books have long chapters. This intensive program requires a lot of discipline, dedication and time. LPN programs take around 14 to 16 months and can be costly. Some institutions advice students to take the LPN program full-time rather than working and taking the course concurrently.
