How do you change the desktop wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter?

Though you cannot change the background wallpaper in Windows Starter Edition by default, you can download a third-party program and change the wallpaper anytime you like. Microsoft has created Windows 7 Starter in a way that operates efficiently on a netbook and on computers with low-end specifications.

1. Download the Oceanis Change Background Windows 7 program

   Search online for Oceanis Change Background Windows 7 using your favorite web browser. Download the program, and follow the instructions for installation.

2. Reboot your computer

   After the installation completes, reboot your computer to finalize the process. Wait 10 seconds, then power up your computer. After it restarts, notice a new wallpaper with a greeting from Oceanis.
