How do you change your Skype name?

To change your Skype display name, click the name in the Skype bar to access the edit box, type the new name that you want to use, and hit Enter. Your display name is then changed.

  1. Click on your current Skype display name

    Sign into Skype, and click on your current Skype display name. The edit box appears.

  2. Type the new name you want to use

    Type the new display name into the field.

  3. Save your new name

    Click the tick icon or press Enter to save your new display name. This new name now appears to everyone on your Skype contact list.
