What are some characteristics of a boxer/Weimaraner mix?

A boxer/weimaraner mix has a short coat that is black, brown or white in color. This mix, called a boweimar, sheds slightly and requires weekly brushing to keep the coat healthy looking.

Boweimars are high-energy dogs that require plenty of walks and daily exercise. They can suffer separation anxiety and have a tendency to bark a lot if not trained properly. A boweimar's muzzle and body type mimics its weimaraner genes, and its feet may be webbed. This designer breed makes a good family pet, but requires a lot of attention and patience, as it often finds trouble if left alone too long.
