How do you charge an iPod shuffle?

An iPod Shuffle can be charged by connecting it to a computer USB port. A USB cable that is compatible with Apple hardware is required.

  1. Connect the iPod to a USB cable

    Connect one end of a USB cable into the headphone port of the iPod. Connect the other end to a high-powered USB port on a laptop or computer.

  2. Set the iPod to charge

    Make sure that the computer is powered on and not in sleep mode. If the status light on the top of the iPod glows orange, the device is charging.

  3. Verify the iPod is charged

    iPod Shuffle batteries take approximately two hours to fully charge. When the status light glows green, the device is fully charged and can be disconnected from the computer.
