Charles Barkley has a wife, Maureen Blumhardt Barkley, and a daughter, Christina Barkley. The Barkleys have been married since 1989. Their marriage was unpopular with some people in Philadelphia, where they lived at the time of their marriage, because they are a mixed-race couple.

Barkley was born on February 20, 1963, in Leeds, AL. He was a professional basketball player from 1984 to 2000, during which time he played for the Philadelphia 76ers, the Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets. Twice he was a member of the US Olympic basketball team. He is currently employed as a sports analyst for Inside the NBA.
