What is "Child Safety Week"?

In the United Kingdom, Child Safety Week is an awareness program that runs through the last week of June to promote child safety. The focus is on preventing child accidents that occur during chaotic moments in the home.

Practitioners and other child-serving organizations such as the childcare centers, hospitals, schools and emergency teams hold events throughout the week to teach parents about child safety. Programs on child proofing the home are presented in engaging ways. Every year the awareness program features a new theme that makes child safety engaging for all ages. The campaign is run by the Child Accident Prevention Trust.
