How do you choose the best hardwood flooring?
By Forinfos - 03/02/2026 - 0 comments
Wood species, color, board width, texture, hardness and finish are all consideration factors when choosing the best hardwood floor, according to HGTV. Be aware of the differences between solid and engineered wood flooring because these choices impact cost, installation and durability.
Oak, cherry and maple are the hardest and most durable floors, explains HGTV. Textured-finished hardwood floors hide wear, and solid-wood flooring often lasts for decades but cannot withstand humidity, whereas engineered-wood flooring is less labor intensive to install and can be used in any room, but it cannot be refinished repeatedly like solid. Personal taste determines the best board width and color for a given room.
