To clean Timberland suede boots, brush off dirt from the surface and the soles. Blot any wet stains, and apply a water-based suede cleaner all over the shoe. Allow the boots to dry, brush up the nap, then use a suede eraser to remove any remaining stains.
- Remove the laces
Remove the laces from the Timberland boots, and wash them in a washing machine or by hand.
- Remove surface dirt from the boots
Use a soft-bristled brush to brush off any surface dirt. Scrub the soles clean with toothbrush and a little dish detergent, then wipe off the excess soap with a damp cloth.
- Blot wet stains
Blot any wet, fresh stains with a paper towel, being careful not to spread the stain.
- Apply a suede cleaner
Apply a store-bought, water-based suede cleaner with a dry cloth. Apply all over the shoe to avoid shade variances when it dries. If you don't have a store-bought cleaner, use a small amount of white vinegar as an alternative.
- Dry the boots
Let the boots dry completely. Stuff the boots with newspaper to help keep their shape as they dry.
- Use a dry suede eraser on the boots
Brush up the nap of the Timberland boots with the soft-bristled brush, then use a suede eraser to rub out any remaining dried stains. Brush the nap back down, and re-lace the boots when the laces dry.
