How do I clean a wooden salad bowl?

According to New Hampshire Bowl and Board, wooden bowls are not dishwasher safe. Fortunately, wooden salad bowls can easily be cleaned in a matter of minutes using a drop of dish soap, some water and a clean towel.
Remove food debris
Use a paper towel or dry washcloth to remove all food debris from the bowl's surface. Avoid rubbing salad oils and other seasonings into the bowl during the removal process, as this can make cleaning the wood more difficult.
Wash the bowl with soap and water
Put a very small amount of liquid dish detergent in the center of a clean, damp cloth. Turn on the faucet, and adjust the water's temperature until it's lukewarm. Thoroughly wet the wooden salad bowl, and rub the soapy cloth over the surface of the bowl to remove any residue from the bowl's surface. Completely lather the entire bowl.
Rinse the bowl
Use flowing water to rinse away the soapy lather, and examine the bowl for cleanliness. If residue or debris remains, then repeat the cleaning process.
Dry the bowl
Dry the bowl using a clean, lint-free cloth. Remove as much moisture as possible to keep the wood from swelling as it dries.
