The Bahamas have a tropical maritime climate. They do not typically experience extreme temperatures. There has never been a frost nor freeze known to occur in the Bahamas. The Bahamas' lowest recorded temperature of 41.4 degrees Fahrenheit occurred on Jan. 20, 1981.
There is a difference of only about 10 degrees Fahrenheit between the warmest and coolest months of the year. The Bahamas often experience long periods of sunny and dry weather, averaging over 3,000 hours of sunlight per year. Humidity tends to be fairly high in the Bahamas, especially during the summer. Rain can fall any time throughout the year, but the rainiest part of the year is between May and October.
