What climate best suits a citrus tree?

Citrus trees grow best in a warm, dry climate. Citrus trees are typically able to tolerate high temperatures and extended periods of sunlight if the soil is well moistened.

Citrus trees cannot tolerate frost for long periods of time. Wind machines may be used to prevent frost in areas that are frost-prone. Dry areas are preferred to prevent pests that can damage the citrus fruit.
