What is a climate zone?
By Forinfos - 13/07/2025 - 0 comments
A climate zone is a classification of the type of weather that is experienced in a specific geographic region of the world. Climate zones are differentiated based on average temperatures and the amount of precipitation that occurs in an area.
The broad climate zones are polar, dry, humid tropical and moist mid-latitude. Climate zones have subclimates with more specific determining factors. Some examples include tundra, icecap, desert, tropical wet, humid subtropical, humid continental and subarctic. The length and severity of winters and summers, along with the types of vegetation found in the area, can determine a geographic region's subclimate group (or groups).
