How do you turn off apps on iOS 7?

To turn off apps on iOS7, double tap the home button, navigate the multitasking view and swipe your finger up on the icon of the app you want to turn off. The icon flies to the top of the screen and turns off the app.

  1. Double tap the home button

    Double tap the home button located at the bottom of your phone.

  2. Find the app in the multi-tasking view

    Swipe left and right to find the icon of the app that you want to close.

  3. Swipe up to close the app

    Tap and hold the app you want to close and then swipe up with your finger to close it.
