What is a coffee pulper machine?

A coffee pulper machine is a machine used to remove the pulp from a coffee cherry after it's been harvested. The cherries are passed through a pulping machine for the skin and pulp to be separated from the coffee bean.

After the beans are separated, they are transported to fermentation tanks filled with water. The condition of the beans dictates how long they stay in the tank. The beans feel rough, not slick, when the fermentation process is complete. From there the beans are rinsed by going through water channels, and then they are ready to enter the drying process.
