What color is Bordeaux?

Most Bordeaux wine is red, though there are some white and rosé varieties. Red wine gets its color from the skin of the grape, which is fermented with the grape juice. In white wine, the skin is discarded before fermentation.
Rosé wines result when the skin of a red grape is included during part of the fermentation process, then removed. They can also be a blend of red and white wines.
Bordeaux wines come from the Bordeaux region, which is near the southwest coast of France. The climate and soil are ideal for growing the grapes that go into Bordeaux wine.
