What color is Venus?

When viewed from Earth, Venus looks like a bright star in the night sky, sometimes with a faint blue colorization. However, satellites that have taken pictures of the cloud cover and the surface of Venus from space have found that the planet is actually yellowish-white in color.

Venus gets its color from its cloud cover, which is composed almost entirely of sulfur dioxide. The sulfur tints the clouds yellow and makes them opaque, so it's impossible to see the surface of Venus. The clouds also produce sulfuric rain, which further tints the atmosphere of Venus and stains the planet's surface yellow.
