What are some common problems with Oticon hearing aids?

Some common problems with Oticon hearing aids are a whistling or howling when inserted or no sound at all. There are several reasons why these problems occur.
A whistling or howling sound may be the result of earwax accumulation or the hearing aid being inserted incorrectly. A doctor may need to be consulted if this is caused by the former, while the latter may be corrected by reinserting the hearing aid.
When there is no sound, the culprit may be a depleted battery or clogged sound outlet. If the battery is worn out, replace it. If the sound outlet is clogged, change or clean the wax filter.
