What are some common treatments for a pulled groin muscle?

With plenty of time and rest, pulled groin muscles typically heal on their own, explains WebMD. To speed up the healing process, however, sufferers can ice the inside of their thighs, compress the affected thigh with an elastic bandage, take anti-inflammatory drugs and do conservative strengthening exercises.
Until the pain subsides, ice should be applied to the inner thigh for 20 to 30 minutes every three to four hours. Anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Advil, Aleve and Motrin, should be used sparingly to treat pain and swelling, unless a doctor says otherwise, advises WebMD. Any stretching, which can be a good strengthening exercise, should cease as soon as pain is felt.
