Is Condoleezza Rice married?

As of September 2014, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is not, and has never been, married. In the 1970s, Rice was briefly engaged to football player Rick Upchurch.

Condoleezza Rice was the first black woman to serve as the United States' national security adviser and as the U.S. Secretary of State, both under President George W. Bush. In 2012, she also became one of the first women to become members of the Augusta National Golf Club, a historic occurrence since membership in the club had been infamously and staunchly only available to white males since it opened in 1933.
