Who conducts turkey giveaways?

The E.J. Jackson foundation conducts a yearly Turkey Giveaway run by the Jackson Limousine Service. Since 1982, the foundation has donated over 12,000 turkeys to senior citizens, veterans and people in need.

E.J. Jackson is the president of the foundation and founder of the Turkey Giveaway. Once homeless himself, Jackson uses his life experiences as motivation to assist others in need. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, people line up to receive a free turkey as well as side dishes. Other sponsors such as Nestle Water, Walmart, L.A. County Health Services, Del Monte and Hilshire Brands help to make the yearly charitable event possible.
