Does a cone have a vertex?

A cone is made up of one circular face and a vertex, which is also its pointed side. A right cone is one in which the vertex is directly above (or below) the center of the base.
When looking for the volume of a cone, the formula V = 1/3(Ab)(h) is used, where Ab is the area of the base and h is the height. Further, the base area can be solved using the formula for getting the area of a regular circle, which is Ab = (pi)(r^2), where r is the radius. Thus, the formula for the cone's volume can also be written as V = 1/3(pi)(r^2)(h).
