Is CoQ10 a blood thinner?
By Forinfos - 11/04/2026 - 0 comments
CoQ10 is not a blood thinner, but some researchers believe that it can help in preventing the formation of blood clots, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. However, CoQ10 supplements make blood-thinning medications such as Coumadin and Plavix less effective.
CoQ10 increases energy in the cells, prevents blood clot formation, and acts as an antioxidant, making some researchers believe that it helps in heart-related conditions such as heart attacks, heart failure and high blood pressure, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. As an antioxidant, CoQ10 helps the body fight free radicals that cause cell death by damaging the cell membranes and tampering with the DNA.
