What is the correct wording for a formal dinner invitation?
By Forinfos - 11/07/2025 - 0 comments
The correct wording for a formal dinner invitation is placed after the name and title of the host and reads "request the pleasure of your company." The name of the host, his or her title if applicable, the invitation, and location all go on individual lines on the invitation.
If the dinner event is held by a group or a organization their logo or graphic element goes at the top before any of the other information. Any honorifics, like Mrs. or Mr. are omitted on the name line, with any official titles included on the line below the name. A formal event should have RSVP information or a response card so that guests can confirm their attendance.
