The cost of a first class ticket on the R.M.S. Titanic was $4,350 for a parlor suite and $150 for a berth. Those costs translate to roughly $83,000 and $2,975 respectively by 2014 standards.
Second class rooms were a bit more affordable at $60 or $1200 today, and third class berths cost up to $40 or $793 today.
There were 2,223 passengers on board the Titanic when she struck the iceberg. Of those, 337 were first class, 285 were second class and 721 were third class. The remaining 885 were crew members. A total of 1,523 passengers and crew were lost upon her sinking.
