Who was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 2012?

Kate Upton is featured on the cover of the 2012 Swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated. Upton, 19 at the time, was favored because of her blond, all-American looks, and appears on the cover in a tiny red and brown, sparkled bikini in front of Sydney, Australia's waters.

The 2012 magazine cover is her second time appearing in the annual Sports Illustrated issue, but her first time on the cover. Upton was 2011's Rookie of the Year and now joins the ranks of supermodels Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks and Elle Macpherson who have all been previously featured as a cover model.
