Fourteen models appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition more than once, as of 2015. Nine of these models made two appearances on the cover, and the magazine featured four of the models on the cover three times.

Models who appeared twice on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition include Paulina Porizkova, Tyra Banks, Veronika Varekova, Rebecca Romijn and Rachel Hunter. Elsa Benitez, Carolyn Murphy, Yamila Diaz-Rahi and Kate Upton also appeared twice. Models appearing three times include Cheryl Tiegs, Christie Brinkley, Kathy Ireland and Daniela Pestova. Elle Macpherson appeared on the cover five times, making her the model with the most number of appearances.
