According to WebMD, CPR is the abbreviation for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and ED is the abbreviation for erectile dysfunction. CPR is given when a victim is unresponsive, while ED is a health condition that occurs in males.

WebMD states that CPR has three steps, abbreviated as C-A-B. That stands for compression, airway and breathing. One must start chest compressions, open the airway and blow breaths into the victim to help him start breathing on his own.
