Crashbox's games were educational games that covered a range of school subjects aimed at the grade-school level, such as math, history and vocabulary. Each Crashbox game typically lasted two to five minutes and consists of a variety of formats, such as puzzles and brain teasers.
Crashbox presented its games through the medium of television and a cast of comical cartoon characters, including robots and animated characters. The program initially ran on the HBO Family channel between February 1, 1999, and March 1, 2001. Crashbox was directed by Dave Thomas and ran for two seasons, with a total of 52 episodes.
