Where is Curacao?

The Caribbean island of Curacao is just north of South America, located off the coast of Venezuela. It is south of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, and it is southeast of the United States.

The island has been held by the Dutch, British and French, although the Dutch held it from 1815 until just after World War II, when it was granted some autonomy by the Dutch government. However, it did not achieve full independence until 2007. It is still a constituent country of the Netherlands. It created its own flag in 1984 as a sign of autonomy.
