What is a curtain stretcher?
By Forinfos - 23/06/2025 - 0 comments
A curtain stretcher refers to a rigid frame that is adjustable, and used in drying curtains since it is instrumental in restoring their smoothness and original dimensions. It is usually made of light wood for ease of transportation.
To construct a curtain stretcher, one needs to have four wooden frames of between 2 and 4 yards long and metallic pins. The pins need to be composed of material that does not rust such as plated nickel and brass in order for them to be long-lasting. This is because they will be holding the wet curtains tightly as they dry. Curtain stretchers can be used to dry net and lace curtains since they stretch if ironed.
