Who is Danny Wegman?

Danny Wegman is a member of the successful Wegman family and, as of 2014, serves as the chairman and CEO of Wegman Food Markets. The Wegman family is one of the wealthiest families in the United States due largely to their successful supermarket chain.

As of 2014, Danny Wegman oversees 85 stores from the company headquarters in Rochester, N.Y. The company was originally founded as Rochester Fruit and Vegetable Company by John and Walter Wegman. Danny took over the chairman and CEO duties after the death of his father Robert in 2006. Danny's daughter Colleen serves as the president of the company.
