ABC News reporter Gio Benitez is the rumored boyfriend of David Muir, according to a Daily Entertainment News article published in 2015. No woman is linked to Muir as of March 2015.

Muir is ABC News' anchor and managing editor of “World News Tonight.” He was the principal substitute anchor of the program before he succeeded Diane Sawyer. Also, he co-anchors "20/20," a television newsmagazine of ABC News, with Elizabeth Anne Vargas.

David Muir has received many awards for his outstanding work in journalism, including Academy awards, Edward R. Murrow awards and a Walter Cronkite award. In 2014, he was in People's Magazine's list of "Sexiest Men Alive."
