What is the definition of a tour operator?
By Forinfos - 20/05/2025 - 0 comments
By definition, a tour operator is a person whose job duties include organizing tours, whether they be for holidays or historic places. A tour operator is not generally involved in the day-to-day task of giving the tours or dealing with guests. This job is left to the tour guide.
Tour operators need significant marketing experience, as well as experience in the finance, customer service and hospitality industries. Tour operators must have good communication skills as they will have to deal with various venue representatives and handle possible scheduling mishaps. Tour operators may also be responsible for creating the marketing materials for the tour itself.
